Lift and smooth sagging skin and lower face laxity with PDO threads
PDO (polydioxanone) sutures, or threads, are a revolutionary, non-invasive treatment used for skin lifting and tightening, reducing the appearance of sagging skin and jowls. A small injection of local anesthetic will provide comfort during the procedure, and the thread is placed under the skin to gently and securely lift the skin. The most commonly treated areas are the lower face, brows, and neck, and can be combined with other treatments such as dermal fillers to give a balanced and natural result.
PDO is an absorbable and biodegradable material that will be fully dissolved within four to six months. During this time the threads continuously stimulate new collagen production and the texture and quality of your skin will continue to improve as new collagen is formed.
After the treatment, swelling, possible bruising, and tenderness are common for a couple of weeks. You can wash your face as usual with gentle pressure. There is minimal to no downtime. We will develop a customized treatment plan and offer packages that include three treatments that will give you optimal results. Talk to your provider to see if a thread treatment is right for you!
