Laser Skin Rejuvenation

HALO Laser

The HALO is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser and has become known for the “HALO-glow” or the flawless complexion you get after your treatment. The Halo simultaneously delivers two different wavelengths into the same microscopic treatment zone, while leaving a portion of the epidermis intact for a faster recovery time. Each treatment is fully customized to deliver the most precise, comfortable, and consistent ablative technology on the market. Fine lines, texture, large pores, sun damage, dullness and scars can all be addressed with this technology.

Q: How many treatments will I need?

A: Due to its fractionated nature, most patients require one to two HALO treatments to achieve their goals. Then maintain your results with a HALO treatment once or twice per year as needed.

Q: What skin types can HALO be used on?

A: HALO treatments can be performed on the face and body for most skin types. With darker skin types (type III-IV), you may be required to pre-treat with a pigment inhibitor.

Q: What skin concerns does Halo address?

A: HALO is known as the “Holy Grail” of skin treatments—it addresses pigmentation, fine lines, acne scars and textural issues all in a single modality. Depending on your needs, we may recommend a combination of HALO and BBL for an even more dramatic result.

Q: How do I prepare for a HALO treatment?

A: During your consultation, we will recommend some topical products that will prepare your skin, and reduce healing time after the treatment.

Please use sun protection and stay out of the sun for 1-2 weeks before your treatment.

Please arrive to your appointment with no makeup and clean skin.

Q: Does a HALO treatment hurt?

A: The treatment feel very warm and we recommend using a high-grade topical anesthetic for about 30 minutes before treatment. In addition, a chilling device will also be used to keep the skin cool during treatments, which can help ease any discomfort.

Q: What can I expect after a Halo Treatment?

A: Following the treatment, your skin be red and feel hot for several hours. The day following your treatment, expect your skin to be pink and you may also experience swelling. On day 3-4 your skin will begin to feel rough and dry, like sandpaper, and this will all begin to flake off revealing a smooth, rejuvenated appearance known as the HALO glow!

Benifits
  • Improved texture
  • Safe for all skin types
  • Reduce fine lines
  • Reduction in acne scars
  • Excellent results in 1-2 treatments

BBL Laser

The BBL (Broad Band Light) laser is the most powerful light-based laser on the market. It is one of the most efficient and customizable treatments for patients who want to maintain youthful skin and an even complexion. It is effective at treating sun-damage, hyperpigmentation, vascular lesions, acne and other skin conditions associated with aging. The interchangeable light filters allow us to treat these conditions with precision.

During treatment, light energy is delivered to the skin, gently heating the outer layers to stimulate collagen production and promote regeneration. There is a thermoelectric monitoring system and sapphire cooling crystal to maximize patient safety and comfort. BBL is the only light-based therapy that can alter the expression of genes associated with aging.

The BBL can specifically target dark spots on the face, neck, chest, hands, and shoulders. Pigment in the skin will come up to the surface, and initially appear darker. Then over then next week the pigment will flake off. This innovative technology can also be used for hair removal, redness, dull skin, broken capillaries (telangiectasias), bruising and rosacea. For maximum results, many patients will combine treatments with HALO laser.

Q: What skin types can be treated with BBL?

A: BBL can safely be used on all skin types. All patients require a test spot prior to treatment, which can be done at the time of consultation. We recommend that all patients start treating their skin with a topical pigment inhibitor, and of course, always use sunscreen.

Q: Does a BBL treatment hurt?

A: The use of topical anesthetic should be a decision between you and your provider. However, it’s typically unnecessary as BBL’s sapphire crystal keeps the skin cool during treatment while allowing the light to reach its target safely.

Q: How many treatments will I need?

A: Patients require more than one treatment to achieve desired results. Most of the pigment is not sitting right at the surface of the skin, so multiple sessions are required to bring the pigment to the surface so it can come off. We recommend a series of 3 Treatments.

Q: What can I expect after a BBL treatment?

A: For a few hours after, you will feel like you have a slight sunburn. The following day you may experience some swelling. For a small number of patients, swelling may persist for 3-4 days. Within a week, pigment in the skin will come up to the surface, and initially appear darker. Over the next four to seven days, the pigment will begin to flake off.
